Who loves puppy chow and pumpkin spice?
It’s that time of the year, when everyone is going pumpkin spice crazy. You either love it, hate it or secretly love it! I’m a bit of a secret lover. I can live without it but love the warmth of it, I am more of a spice girl than a chocolate girl. Cinnamon rolls taste soooooooooo better to me than a piece of chocolate cake any day of the week.
Anyways, back to the puppy chow. Puppy chow is one of my favorite treats. Its one snack that I can sit down and watch a great movie (aka my favorite How to Lose A Guy In 10 Days) and eat the entire bowl at once. Yes, sadly, I have done that which is why I only make it every once in a while.
Healing from a broken foot has made today a movie and food kind of day. I am going to sitting on the couch watching movies and football all day long. Which also means in 3 weeks when I can finally walk without the boot on, I will need to do cardio and yoga every day to get my body back in shape before winter begins. At least I thought a head and shared some of this puppy chow with my coworkers before I had the whole batch to myself this weekend.
This is such an easy snack or dessert to make quickly if you are having guests over that is a hit with grown ups and children. I made this version with white chocolate, it added a nice creamy texture to the puppy chow. Adding pumpkin spice to the powdered sugar added a nice warmth to the sweetness of this snack.
