Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

Chocolate cookies rolled in powdered sugar and baked until perfectly chewy on the inside and crunchy on the outside, what’s not to love about that? These chocolate crinkle cookies are great for curing chocolate cravings!

This week has been a bit crazy! We now have a new president-elect and it is someone no one saw coming. I have always wondered what other countries think of the United States at this moment. We are acting as if we have gone mad. People are protesting, we have a reality star and businessman as our new president, and we seem  more divided than we have been in a long time. I pray as a country we can remember that united we stand and divided we fall because we are at a pivotal place in deciding which direction this country and the world goes.

So to get away from the political drama I spent time outdoors and made cookies

Chocolate Crinkle Cookies


These cookies do take time to make. They are not cookies that you can mix and bake right away. After mixing the cookie dough you will need to chill the dough for at least 4 hours. Chilling the dough is important because you will be rolling dough into balls and rolling them into powdered sugar.

Make sure that you prep the pan with parchment paper. I have made the mistake of baking them on the pan and they stuck. Please don’t make my mistake and if you put parchment paper down it will make cleanup a lot easier.

These cookies can last up to a week but are best enjoyed within 2 days of baking them.
