Aids Weight Loss

Drinking water can help you feel full so that you don’t overeat. Sometimes we think we are hungry when actually we are thirsty. Extra H2O helps us eat less by making us feel full, and it may also boost metabolism. Next time you are feeling hungry drink a glass of water weight 10 minutes and see if you are still hungry. If you are still hungry and it’s between meals eat water rich foods which tend to be lower in calories than other snack foods.

Makes Your Skin  Glow

Why you should drink more water

Your skin is your largest organ in your body, so you need to treat it nice. Your skin is 64 percent water so drinking water to make it look better just makes sense to me.  Dry skin is a staple in the winter so if something as simple as drinking water can help my dry skin…I say drink up! Plus drinking water instead of sugary drinks can help with acne and make you feel better all around!

Helps With Daytime Fatigue

Dehydration has also been shown to decrease alertness and concentration. You need to stay hydrated to feel better energized. Plus drinking a glass of cold water can help you feel energized.  Energy drinks are full of sugar, so next time you feel the midday fatigue drink a big glass of cold water. And for an extra bonus add some lemon!

Flush Out Toxins

Why you should drink more water

Water is, quite literally, the river on which our good health flows. Water carries nutrients to our cells, aids digestion, flushes our bodies of toxins and keeps our kidneys healthy. It flushes toxins and waste from the body and transports nutrients to where they are needed.  If you don’t drink enough water, then you might be suffering from a buildup of toxins throughout your body and the effect is most definitely compromising your immune system.

Prevents Headaches

Dehydration can lead to frequent headaches, so staying hydrated could be vital if you are a headache sufferer. Research has proven that regularly sipping water can reduce the severity of headaches and migraines, reducing the need for medication. So next time you feel a headache coming on try to drink more water to help your head feel better. Plus if staying hydrated will help your head isn’t it better than taking a pill after the pain has started?

  1. It’s amazing how something as simple as getting enough water can improve your health. It has many health benefits indeed! Hence, I’ve been sitting with a liter of water bottle next to me while working all the time so I am constantly reminded to drink as much as I can.

  2. I am a water drinker and thankfully love water. I find I get headaches when I don’t drink enough water. I also feel much better, more energetic, when I get enough water.

Great post and all the right reasons to drink more water! I used to not drink enough and I always had headaches and got tired during the afternoons! When Started drinking more water I noticed a change in no time and I now carry two 1.5 liter bottles with me to work and try to empty them before heading back home!

  4. When I was losing weight (about 40 pounds total) this was the thing I did most consistently. I realized how less hungry I was just by drinking about 60-70 oz a day. Not that hard when you kep it by you all the time. And it’s easier when it’s not always ice cold.

  5. Such a good reminder! I’ve been pushing myself this month to drink a gallon of water a day. It’s SO hard! I usually get 3/4 of the way there. Thanks for this lists, lots of great reminders to keep filling up that glass!

  6. Absolutely true. Water is the stuff of life. Drinking regularly was a habit I had to cultivate, but now that drinking 2 liters of water each day is part of my routine (at least thats the goal), I have far more energy and balance.
