The Skill Set of Self Confidence Dr. Ivan Joseph

Dear athletes and non athletes this coach is a must watch! Confidence, persistence, and responsibility are what he looks for and teaches. He builds confidence by complimenting the good things his athletes, students, and kids are doing and not nagging on the bad.

I’m just going to give you some brutal honesty right now. Almost every pro athlete has one thing in common….From a young age being an athlete became their goal and not matter how many people laughed when they told them that they were going to be a pro they had enough confidence in themselves to work hard and stay dedicated.  Confidence can make or break an athlete or a person.

Did you know that you can boost your confidence by changing your body language? Seriously! This blew my mind! Why didn’t I know this during the cooking exams in culinary school or when I was job interviewing. Body language can determine so much for all of us. Peoples first impressions are almost always based on our body language and being able to become mentally aware of your body language could be a game changer for all of us.

Did you know that about 10,000 people a month Google the phrase, “Am I ugly?” I bet that most of them are young girls.  We live in a connected world where the kids who shape the future are connected at all times and believe in the trends of the internet. No matter how fictional and abstract they are from reality.

We need to take responsibility in what were are commenting on and what we are saying on social media. And to my mothers who are reading this, please never ever call yourself fat in front of your daughter. They will remember it and begin look at themselves the same way.

I am not going to sit here and pretend like these talks will change your life, but I am saying they can move you in the right direction. Confidence is the first step to chasing your dreams.
